What I Wore Sunday: Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

His mother said to the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.” - John 2:5

Today's Gospel has to be one of my favorites. I may or may not have to blog on my thoughts about it, but not today... tomorrow... for our Marian Monday link-up. Yup, a bit of a shameless plug there. All for Our Lady though.

Thanks to Deme @ Crinion Clan and Kinsi @ Anima Kinsi, I took a couple of their past What I Wore Sunday tips this morning and took a "summer top", tucked it into a pencil skirt, and created a "cooler weather" ensemble. I also [somewhat] mastered the sock bun a few days ago. It still fell out a few times, so it obviously still needs some refining. Or perhaps just some more bobby pins. Either way, it may be my new go-to do.

Blazer: Banana Republic (Yup, the inner lining is a bright fuchsia. Didn't meant to "flash" that.)
Top: Old Navy
Belt + Skirt: Ross... $5.96... shwing.
Shoes: Too long to remember

  9. I love this outfit on SO many levels! Not only is it modest and classy, its slightly nautical and I love the yellow paired with navy... and though you didn't mean to flash the pink liner, I actually think that is awesome too. I am a big fan of bright colors, even if I am usually scared to wear them!

  13. I'm obsessed with chevrons, so naturally, I adore that top! Also, I can't remember what branch of the service your hubby's in, so forgive me if I'm about to touch a nerve, but as a girl who grew up near the Naval Academy, I always love a good navy and gold pairing =)

    1. P.S. If you tease your hair before rolling it into a bun, I've found, it stays put much better! Your ponytail will look like a bird's nest, but your bun will be nice and neat and fluffy!
