It's the time for 7 Quick Takes, and go...

Continue to pray for Jennifer Fulwiler, the host of 7 Quick Takes and Catholic blogger over on Conversion Diary. Wife & pregnant mama to baby #6. She was recently diagnosed and hospitlized with pulmonary embolisms. It's kinda scary reading about it: Blockage of the main artery of the lung or one of its branches by a substance that has traveled from elsewhere in the body through the bloodstream (embolism). You can read more about it along with her updates over on: http://www.conversiondiary.com

Christmas season went by too fast. We started taking down our Christmas decor this week, but some of my friends say that they keep theirs up until January 13. When do you take yours down?

She is as cute as a button, but since her new found sense of independence (i.e. crawling, pulling up, etc.), lately she has been finding within herself her Little Miss Sassafras... 8 months going on 18. This is the stank eye that she gave me when I told her to stop eating the grass. I'm sure they'll continue as she gets older.

For a few months, I've just been eyeing me some wayfarer glasses aka hipster glasses (no pun intended) but with no real intention on getting any. So, when Firmoo emailed me and asked me to review a pair, my amateur blogging self was pretty elated. I am blind as a bat; so therefore, a pair of super thick lenses that make my Asian eyes look "beady" are a massive deal breaker for me! I already have a couple of pairs of pricey eye glasses (one for regular use, the 2nd as a back-up), but now these gems are my new favorite. Affordable price, stylish frames, thin lenses, and my eyes actually look normal. Not to mention, fast delivery and great service. Firmoo recently launched a First Pair Free Program that you can try risk free. So go check out Firmoo to get your free glasses now!

How about that Downton Abbey Season 3 Premiere?! I am greatly infatuated with this show. Anybody else feel somewhat jipped with that wedding? I was hoping for a little more... actually, who am I kidding: a lot more! However, maybe once I get my hands on the unedited UK version, I'll sing a different tune. Grand-Mama Violet Crawley aka Dowager Countess of Grantham is still by far my favorite character of the show (as well as my husband's) with her random witty one liners. Oh, Downton Abbey. I heart you.

Our little man's construction truck collection rapidly saw an increase over the Christmas season, as well as his vocabulary. He constantly asks "What's this?" to just about everything and to anyone. All day, every day. "What's this? What's this? What's this? What's this? What's this? What's this? What's this? What's this? What's this?" Yup. I would say that preschool is going well for his curious & active mind.

Have a good weekend!

We took our tree down right before the Epiphany, but only because it had been dead for quite a while, and it was really time. Usually we keep it up until the 6th though.
ReplyDeleteLOVE #3 hehe! :)
Can I just say how adorable your kids are?! And I adore those glasses...not a beady eyeball in sight (unintentional pun)!
ReplyDeleteOh my, those glasses do look great on you (not everyone can pull them off, like me for one)! And that look on your little girls is quite priceless - love that age.
ReplyDeleteI love how you embrace your Asian side! lol I remember your search for a bento lunch box that didn't look 'so Asian'! You are adorable in the glasses and I will have to check out that site to get an upgrade!
ReplyDeleteAs for the kids, I am so sad, I miss them and watching them grow! My sweet Baby K is merely taking after her twice removed cousin Rory. And as the mother of a 7 year old (almost 8) I don't think it ever stops. Cali has been '...going on 17' since she was 2. *Lord help me guide her*
I like this 7 Quick Takes post, it's a nice condensed wrap up. Might have to tag along!
Hahahaha... I totally forgot about the Bento box mission. Well, Mark ended up getting one from Japan so it ended up being pretty Asian.
DeleteJiza - so good to "meet" you. :) Downtown Abbey fan and YES to the wedding jip! Also, I grew up in the Air Force. God bless you too military mamma!
ReplyDeleteWe took our tree down the day before Epiphany, my mother is very superstitious about that!
